Manned refuse vehicle visits
We have been notified by Chelmsford Borough Council that they propose to cease the Saturday standout service, where a manned refuse vehicle has visited various locations in the borough, including two in Great Baddow. This decision is based on declining use and the existence of alternative facilities, particularly the development of kerbside recycling collections and the special arrangements that can be made for collecting bulky goods, such as furniture and white goods.
The service is due to cease from April 2010, which means that no more manned refuse vehicle visits are scheduled for Great Baddow.
If you have any questions, please contact the Borough Council's customer services on 01245 615800. They will be able to answer questions about individual needs and arrange for a bulky item collection if required.
